Variety: Alarije (Native variety from Extremadura)
Style: Dry Young White Wine
Vineyard Estate: El Colmenar
Winemaking: Night harvest in the middle of August. The grapes are gently pressed, destemmed and the must is cold macerated at 7-10ºC.
Tasting Notes: Light yellow color with brilliant edges. On the nose grapefruit and anis aromas are predominant with a hint of Williams pear. Fresh and fruity palate with long aftertaste.
Wine pairing: The flavors and aromas of this wine will blossom with all kinds of seafood and fish.
Peculiarity: Alarije’s name comes from arabic “al‘arīš”. It is an almost extinguished native variety which only grows in Extremadura, where it is very well adapted to the heat and the dry weather, being able to produce wines with sufficient acidity in a short, hot growing season.
